I am keeping my week simple. We all seem to be very busy these days and sadly so few of us blogging, so I decided to try and tempt you to get out that camera and start blogging again. Just show us several times this week what you are snapping!  Hope you can?

Nostalgia Challenge: Off on Holiday!

So, it's Week Three again and we are almost half way through the year! I have been less bloggy than I would like, but hopefully that is good for me because lots of things are happening and I like nothing more than to be in the thick of things!

You may know that we have had a long awaited extension to our kitchen done of late and this means we haven't had a holiday in a couple of years.. oh, but I will be in that kitchen everyday!  And we will all enjoy the extra light and the family space it has made for us!

Holidays ... ahhh, do you remember when the summers were longer, the evenings were balmier and the summer holidays from school went on and on and on...

.. so tell me about them..I am sure they will be many and varied..tell us about your holiday memories from your childhood or the ones you have made for your own children..

here's a few ideas, I am sure you will have a story or two:

... school holidays when the sun shone!

...mini breaks which made maximum memories, be they good or bad..

 (here is a good memory of mine of a less than successful few days on a canal boat .. the pictures are so much better than the reality!!)

...holiday treats and holiday disasters

...holidays for special events... and this one is for me this weekend.. for Christmas Lisa bought us tickets to see Robbie Williams next Tuesday in Manchester so we are leaving home early to make time to see some pals before the night...oh and sure enough, the weather forecast is for heavy rain and we are in a Stadium....watch my space for news of how that works out!

This month is an important one for the Let's Reflect challenge, for one reason :

Relax

What a nice word I hear you say. I agree, that’s a word I love too, mainly because it’s not on my To Do list very often, not to say almost never.

It’s a fact that at the time I am writing, my parents just left after spending 10 days with us and as much as I love them, I need a bit (A LOT) of quiet each time they leave, LOL, so what a better time than this one to relax !

Something I love doing to relax is for example playing with the girls. It's great to teach them some new things and as they are eager to learn, it' always a guaranteed pleasant moment for us 3.

So what do you do to relax ? I am not going to spoil it by enumerating all what one could do and you certainly have a pretty good idea of what the word “ Relax “ means, LOL, so you will be able to talk in length about your experiences.

I cant wait to read what you have as new ideas for us all.

The View Challenge: June

Crikey, we are nearly at the half way point of the year! It does not seem possible does it?

As usual I am using the Sara Coleridge poem.

The Months

January brings the snow,

makes our feet and fingers glow.

February brings the rain,

thaws the frozen lake again.

March brings breezes loud and shrill,

stirs the dancing daffodil.

April brings the primrose sweet,

scatters daisies at our feet.

May brings flocks of pretty lambs,

skipping by their fleecy dams.

June brings tulips, lilies, roses,

fills the children's hand with posies.

Hot July brings cooling showers,

apricots and gillyflowers.

August brings the sheaves of corn,

then the harvest home is borne.

Warm September brings the fruit,

sportsmen then begin to shoot.

Fresh October brings the pheasants,

then to gather nuts is pleasant.

Dull November brings the blast,

then the leaves are whirling fast.

Chill December brings the sleet,

blazing fire, and christmas treat.

I am hoping some of those flowers will be showing in my kitchen window photo this month!

My view of the coastline is one I took from Woolacombe beach on friday as the whole family went down for the whole glorious day.
